Working with MOTS-c
MOTS-c (mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA type-c) is a 16-amino-acid peptide encoded within the mitochondrial genome rather than the nucleus. Research has demonstrated AMPK activation and improved glucose uptake in skeletal-muscle cells, and protection against diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance in mouse models, with the peptide moving to the nucleus under metabolic stress. Each vial is lyophilised under nitrogen, HPLC-verified at ≥99% purity, and its batch Certificate of Analysis is viewable online.
