Working with Cagrilintide
Cagrilintide (AM833) is a long-acting, acylated analogue of the pancreatic hormone amylin, co-secreted with insulin by beta cells, that activates both amylin and calcitonin receptors. Research has demonstrated reduced food intake and lower body weight in rodent models, with effects mediated through hindbrain satiety centres, and it is widely studied alongside GLP-1 receptor agonists.
